The aim of J G Swimming is to produce confident, competent swimmers.  Our first priority is safety.  Our second is that the children learn to enjoy the water.  Children learn everything  better when they are happy and confident.  Strokework is important and many of our children go on to be club/competition swimmers.  This is what we aim to achieve in each level:

Absolute Beginner: Happy in the water, able to put their faces in, blow bubbles and submerge.   Jump into  the water aided.  Able to kick across the pool on front and back with floats.  Some will be swimming by the end of the course.  BADGE: WATERSKILLS 1

Pre-Club: We often find our swimmers  want to stay on so we have three terms of Pre-Club swimming.

Spring Term we do lots of swimming with them plus basic life-saving and personal survival skills.  Summer Term we do lots of swimming and Snorkelling skills (always popular!!) and in the Autumn Term we do lots of swimming and time the children at the beginning of the term, halfway through and again at the end of term so they can see how they have progressed.

Then,  our job is done and they have to leave!!
